These glitches are not in the game for nearly 9 months anymore.ĪoEIV suffered from alot of bugs like ressource printing by canceling walls and buildings (getting more ressources back than put into), relic duplication, really odd hitboxes, attackspeed increase by a+leftclick+move and repeat, and classic lazy stuff (even 1 year after beta, the beta participant profile pictures didn't get hand out yet). (Delhi lancers normal sword and honed blade sword are 2 different models in the game, since french knights don't have a blade alteration they start to clip out into the "no model box" when this upgrade gets forced upon their models for example). It was possible to get other nations techs or units, so some units didn't visually alter properly (like delhis honed blades on french units), cause they don't have ingame models for that alteration since they were never intended to put together. The "graphic glitches" were present in the early stages of the game (first 2-3 months) in which you could overtake buildings of a killed player (they become neutral and capturable), by garrison units into it. It is not supposed to be "connected" cause a building is a different buildingtype than a wallbuilding. the picture is a meme of a building that's called "golden gate" which is not actually a gate but a seperate building. Okay the AoEIV thing is a little bit embarassing. So since none of these problems have been fixed nor can we expect them to be fixed why should anyone expect to purchase a Relic game at full price again? So Pathfinding and reversing is still a broken hot mess of garbage/frustration. Here you can see someone at Relic rapidly clicking to reverse and instead the tanks are spinning in place like full blown. It is not that AOE IV is a bad game but people are tired of the lack of polish and game breaking bugs present in every single Relic game. It is starting to show in Age of Empires IV which now has less active players than Age of Empires 2 on steam. This type of neglect and incompetence has become commonplace within Relic and was shown full force with Dawn of War 3 and in some parts of COH2. So in 7 years Advanced Warning for UKF has never worked. ![]() In COH2 British Forces launched sometime in 2015. Instead COH3 looks like the first Relic game I will not purchase on day 1 and instead just wait for the game to be on sale on steam due to the lack of effort that Relic has shown with previous and upcoming titles. COH3 is just a brand new recycled campaign from older Relic games akin to how Activision Blizzard pumps out a new call of duty game every year that eventually people stop caring about because they don't offer anything new to the series.Īll I needed was one new thing that COH3 is going to do to push the series forward and I would have pre-ordered the game today. This is why Indie games are surging in popularity even though they have crappy graphics, they offer new/fun gameplay experiences. Tank Riding was in COH2's modding files it was just never used officially. The biggest new "feature" for COH3 is tank riding but. In todays showcase, unit clipping is still a problem from COH1/2 (tanks driving into each other and stacking on top of each other) is still present in COH3.ĭuring the video you can see someone trying to retreat and the tanks rotating like - which is a huge problem in COH3 so nothing was doing to improve unit pathing. It would have been easy to adapt the winter storms to sand storms for COH3. The sound effects for units in COH3 sound like pudding compared to previous entries.ĬOH3 doesn't make use of COH2's weather system. Company of Heroes 2 brought true sight and weather effects which were huge.ĬOH3 lacks good sound effects. COH3 doesn't do much to push the series forward. I remember going to the store day 1 on release for every single Relic game. I have been a hardcore Relic fan since the Homeworld days.
